Sunday School is held at our church from 10:30-11:30 a.m. every Sunday of the year.
Here students up to the age of 20 learn the practical import of the Bible and Jesus' teachings. Exploring ideas with an experienced Christian Scientist, the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, and the weekly Bible Lesson, they learn how their relationship with God can overcome any challenge. They gain a better understanding of God, who they are as His child, and how to feel His constant loving embrace. They discover how spirituality is relevant in their life - how it fits into every day and shows up in everything they do.

First, the superintendent calls everyone together to start Sunday School. Then there’s singing and a chance to focus as a group on the theme of the week’s Bible Lesson. Everyone is invited to read together, pray together silently, and then say the Lord’s Prayer out loud.
Next, students are divided into classes—which may happen in various ways depending on the needs of the students. Class time is spent differently in every class and on every Sunday. Teachers come prepared, but are flexible and adjust to the needs of students each week. It’s a time for questions, answers, study, learning, practice, and healing.
When class time is over, everyone gathers together again for another hymn and the Scientific Statement of Being from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. That’s the end of Sunday School class, but many teachers and students are in touch with one another during the week.
Classes are adapted to each individual student, teacher, and group. All of the classes are based on the Bible, and use Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, to help dive deeper into its meaning. Some classes include more emphasis on study, others are more discussion oriented. Some may address specific challenges that students are confronting.
The First Lessons - The Basics: Students of all ages are taught the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer and its Spiritual interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy, and the Sermon on the Mount.
The Scriptures - Students discover the spiritual significance of many Bible stories and parables and how they apply to them, today. Everyone can practice the healing ideas taught in the Bible and in the weekly Bible Lesson.
